My opinion of “Fan Girls”
So basically I didn’t write a blog last week like I was suppose to….oh well. Well better late than never. So what I wanted my topic to be last week was “Fan Girls”. I went to a concert exactly a week ago, so that’s where this all ties into my life so it’s not really all that random. Anyway fan girls. What is a fan girl? No it is not a groupie which everyone seems to think is the only reason girls go to concerts which is stupid.
A fan girl is a girl who non stop talks about how she is in love with what every band member and how she makes up stories about her and them, makes t-shirts, screams when they walk by, stalk the band and so on. There are so many other things but then I would be going on all night. Let’s compare those to groupies just so you don’t get confused, groupies- dress slutty, flirt with band, and so on so it’s completely different in my opinion, one is obsessive and the other is desperate for fame and attention. Any who before I get even more off topic…fan girls.
I have been to many concerts in my semi-short life span so I am pretty good at spotting these girls out. I don’t like to put up with the annoying girls who go on and on about the band and how they act like they know them and know the most random things about them…it kinda freaks me out. For some reason or another I ALWAYS get stuck in line by these freaking girls. I mean I have nothing wrong with them I guess but I am more of the chill type of person who will go up to the band after the show take a picture, say hi, have a little convo thank them and move on.
I just like to be calm and cool and not to come off as an obsessive person who people try to avoid. Also since I am 17 I get grouped in with these girls because I am not afraid to do things on my own and I have no fear of going up and associating with strangers I get grouped in with the girls who go and attack these people and it’s just so stupid. To me it is embarrassing and I just don’t get it.
I am not attacking anyone personally, all I am saying is that I don’t get it. So you can go make t-shirts and whatever else you wanna do I’m not saying not to I just don’t see why. Oh and don’t get this confused with me hating on people who look up to bands because I know that songs, and people are role models and help them get through rough times and I find that inspiring and very sweet.
